Is it Legal to become A Scottish Laird?

The question ‘is it legal?’ is one that we are often asked and the answer is very simply

YES

This offer is completely genuine and legal. The Laird title documents have been drawn up with the assistance of a Scottish lawyer to ensure that it is a legal and valid document.

The Title “Laird” ( meaning “land owner” ) can be used by male or female - a wise old Scottish custom. Many ladies, rather than take the Title 'Laird' have chosen to use the Title 'Lady' instead.

By purchasing your plot of land you automatically become a Scottish Laird.

As well as possibly being a useful talking point on your business card or even an unusual email address, every Laird or Lady can visit the area where the plots are located. Every plot purchased comes with a map, plan of site, a personal plot number and access instructions.

As an additional benefit all “Lairds or Ladies of Glencairn” & “Lairds or Ladies of John O’Groats” have privileged personal access to a remote Scottish Highland Loch side Estate, in Argyll, called “The Lairds Retreat”.

Every plot of land purchased is helping to conserve areas of land in the Scottish highlands for you, your successors and the local wildlife to enjoy.
